The African Dawn! Nothing will prepare you for this. It has to be experienced to enable you to absorb its true and awesome beauty and overwhelming power of the start of a new day in Africa.

The African Sunset! Just sit back and relax, and wait for the day to disappear and the African night to explode in front of your eyes into a canopy of a million stars and the nocturnal wildlife burst into song like an orchestra on queue.
   

Africa is a hard country! The Kalahari is 52 000 square kilometers and the wildlife have no respect for our timetable or your Nikon or Canon lenses so be prepared for some early morning starts and long days as we search for the more illusive wildlife such as the leopard, wild dog, and the honey badger.

Our tented camps! Are safe and secure. However be prepared for the sounds of the African night. The howl of the cute black backed jackal, the laughing cry of the bush baby, or the chilling unmistakable call of the lion can all be heard as we sit around the camp fire and discuss the events of the day.

   
Tired you will be! Comfort is now the order of the day! Our tents are equipped with a comfortable camp bed and mattress, pillows and duvet set, small bedside table and lamp should you wish to read the latest Wilbur Smith novel. Or update your register of the wildlife sightings thus far.
   
Cuisine

The evening meal is one of the most important parts of the day, a time to relax and reflect on the days adventure and events and trade some stories around the campfire before sitting down to a dinner where both local and international dishes are served. Accompanied by a selection of good South African chilled wines.
   
We have found that not everyone's palette easily adjusts to local cuisine. Therefore or menu is based on an international flavor and may well consist of anything from a Thai stir-fry or Roast leg of lamb with rosemary and blackcurrant sauce to Grilled prawn salads. Local dishes on offer include potjie-kos, a vegetable and venison stew cooked in cast iron pots over an open fire, chicken and lamb bredies, which are similar to Irish stews, pot-bread, 'home' made bread which is cooked over the open fire. Various types of venison are also offered and cooked/ grilled to your personal taste.
   

Our 4x4 kitchen trailer is fully equipped with gas cookers, an oven, rotisserie, and portable fridges and freezers all of which makes catering in the African bush an absolute pleasure.
